New shape from shading design simplifies integration

With a flat illumination system and integrated light controller for automated generation of lighting sequences, the new SAC trevista FLAT allows easy integration of ‘shape from shading’ inspection for machine builders and integrators. It provides topographic surface defect information down to the micron level as well as suppressing brightness fluctuations and gloss effects on reflective materials. The compact design and long working distance can easily accommodate stationary or moving parts and difficult surfaces such as glass rotary plates and cylindrical as well as sheet materials.
